AmStart presents the Berlin leg of Mary Ocher + Your Government’s release tour to support the debut 7”, soon to be followed by a much anticipated full-length release on Faust’s label Klangbad, of a genre-defying album. For lack of an existing term, it was nick-named New Tribalism.

Your Government is the new art-rock outfit of Mary Ocher joined by 2 virtuoso drummers, Oliver Rivera-Drew and Stefan Widdess. The show features projections, smoke and loads of percussion and voodoo inspired outfits. Expect a sub-religious experience with the spirits of the ancients,in an audio-visual explosion of cult futuristic rock&roll, with the queen outsider of Berlin Avant-Pop exploring the depths of forbidden tribal, electronic ecstasies.

Mary Ocher was born on November 10, 1986 in Moscow, Russia. Fate brought her to Tel Aviv at the tender age of 4 and to Berlin at age 20. She has been playing with various media, be it words, sound, color or movement since mastering the craft of songwriting at the age of 11.Disillusioned by the mainstream music industry, she set her mind on accomplishing everything DIY. With her first band, Mary and The Baby Cheeses, that notion led to releasing 5 limited edition independent releases.
