AL.Festival.2022 at Festsaal Kreuzberg / Friday, 14.10.2022

The AL.Festival comes back again this year for its 3rd annual edition on October 14th! After last year’s success, they have announced a new exciting lineup with a stellar cast of artists from the West Asian and North African contemporary music and art scene. Partnering once more with Festsaal Kreuzberg, this time they are taking full access to utilise its immersive space entirely; 3 different stages and an outdoor bazaar area will host an all-day celebration with some of the most innovative musicians, performers, visual artists and designers of the region.

AL.Festival.2022 will be hosting live performances from the scene’s legends Aziza Brahim, Maryam Saleh, OUM and will bring together breakthrough and upcoming talents like Rasha Nahas, Taxi Kebab and Makimakkuk. Killer Dj sets by some of the scene’s top DJs such as Sama’ AbdulHadi, DJ Hilwi, Prince Emrah and more will also bring their colour to the dancefloor.

The Berlin-Haifa based Palestinian collective Doon Juthour, will take over the curation of the outdoor area with a cast of local artists from the city’s hip hop and art scene, transforming Festsaal’s outdoor space in a Mediterranean bazaar souq (music, food, art). With a carefully curated lineup featuring music from roots, hip hop, psychedelic rock to electronic, AL.Festival aims to bring people together and open new artistic perspectives by showcasing the vast landscape of WANA’s contemporary music and art scene.

Sama’ Abdulhadi has risen to become one of the first DJs to emerge internationally from Palestine. Her sets, while rooted in high-octane, punchy techno, have a distinguished and defined ark, encompassing a broad range of sounds in their beginning and end. Despite performing at various important festivals over the years such as Germany’s Fusion Festival and Hungary’s Sziget Festival, it was her Boiler Room set, viewed now over ten million times, that identified her talents to the wider electronic music community.
