Jochen Arbeit of Einstürzende Neubauten & Dirk Dresselhaus aka Schneider TM present the monthly concert & performance series ATK – Aufladetechnische Konferenz -to establish a platform for experimental and playful results of sound & performance research.
Likeminded musicians & performers of different artistic fields will be invited to ATK to meet spontaneously and create something discrete and temporary.
Jochen Arbeit is known as the guitar player of several influential bands such as DIE HAUT and EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN.

Arbeit moved to Berlin in 1980 and became part of the loose artist and music movement GENIALE DILETTANTEN which had its roots in Punk-Rock and Dada. In 1983 he became a member of the influencal instrumental group DIE HAUT, with whom he started touring in Europe and overseas. The band produced records in the USA with fellow likeminded Artisits as Singers. The band always wore suits on stage.
In 1997 he became an official member of the Avantgarde Noise Band EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, which he met in the earliey eighties. Other projects were the Berlin style country band THE JEVER MOUNTAIN BOYS, the soul crooner of the band MARTIN DEAN, the melancholic seriousness of painter Martin Eder with his band RICHARD RUIN and the tiki and latino influenced project LATIN LOVERS with Yoyo Röhm.

Since the late 80’s Dirk Dresselhaus is active in different musical fields. From 1989 until 1997 he played and sang in indie-noiserock- and pop-bands like Locust Fudge or Hip Young Things before he became more active in electronic music around 1997 under the moniker Schneider TM.
As Schneider TM he is responsible for a couple of experimental electro-freak-pop albums and mini-hits like “Reality Check” or a coverversion of a song by The Smiths called “The Light 30002.

Next to many one-off projects like composing and recording music for movies, theatre or radioplays, he plays and records with freeform noise-projects like Angel (w/ Ilpo Väisänen of Pan sonic), Mr. Schmuck’s Farm (w/ Hildur Gudnadottir of Lost In Hildurness / Mum etc.) and Real Time (w/ Reinhold Friedl of Zeitkratzer) on a regular basis.
Since quite a while he frequently plays improv concerts on varying instruments like guitar, electronics, balaphon or using field recordings, sometimes solo and other times together with Jochen Arbeit, Damo Suzuki (ex-Can), the japanese dancer Tomoko Nakasato and others.
