Two of Berlin’s leading exponents of electronica and electronic pop, Barbara Morgenstern and Robert Lippok, make a one off reunion for a special live show at the Roter Salon / Volksbühne.
[audio:05 Sommer.mp3]Following the recent release of “Speculation”, the new album by his band To Rococo Rot, Robert Lippok takes time off from the bands extensive tour to play this unique show together with Barbara Morgenstern who is planning her new release in autumn. In the third of the SOUND DATA series Tobi Müller presents a reunion of one of the finest collaborations in German electronic music of late: Barbara Morgenstern and Robert Lippok. The last time the two artists worked together was back in 2005. Now they will present work in progress live at the Roter Salon, Volksbühne.
As ever in the SOUND DATA series the goal is to highlight certain processes in the artistic process which become concealed in the machine of realization. Morgenstern’s voice, her organ and piano have always stood in contrast to her electronica. The same goes for Lippok, who with his band To Rococo Rot crossed the boundary between analogue noise and digital elegance.
