The Berlin sound artists and composer performers Annette Krebs and Emilio Gordoa come together in an exciting new duo, based on their long experience in sound research and extensive development of individual playing techniques. They perform electro-acoustic improvisation with the highest degree of precision and create immersive and at the same time delicate sound environments. Annette Krebs plays her Konstruktion#4, an electro-acoustic live-assemblage made from metal pieces, strings, objects, microphones, tablets and sensors. Additionally to Emilio Gordoa’s redefinition of the vibraphone as a source, treated with preparations and extended techniques, in this project he adds electronic devices to his set up.
Flamingo is sound artists and improvisers Chris Heenan, Adam Pultz Melbye and Christian Windfeld, all of them being very active and renowned in the scene of experimental and improvised music. The trio explores sound, texture and dynamics in the context of a highly stylized sonic aesthetic. Since 2015, Flamingo has developed a disciplined approach to group performance, the results of which are immersive and engaging sonic landscapes. Flamingo has performed at festivals and venues throughout Europe and the US and has released three albums on the labels Barefoot Records, Lydhør and Relative Pitch.
