In the theme evening Objects in Space, curated by the Berlin composer and guitarist Annette Krebs, three different and complementary approaches to the subject of “objects and sound in space” are developed and presented. The participating composers and performers Heather Frasch, Lucio Capece and Annette Krebs play three new compositions within self-developed electro-acoustic setups and electro-acoustic assemblages, which are equipped with microphones, mini-speakers and sensors and played live. The sound spectra of hanging pieces of metal and other objects form the starting point for an eight-channel composition, sine waves are sent into the room with the help of helium balloons flying and standing loudspeakers, in cigar boxes partly hidden and provided with sensors small objects are recorded live and send the finest acoustic signals in two speakers.
