The music of the Voutchkova/Thieke Duo focuses on microtonality, imagery and intensely dynamic, often slowly developing and moving soundscapes. Violinist Biliana Voutchkova and clarinetist Michael Thieke have worked together within (and in between) both compositional and improvisational methods since 2011. They played concerts in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Serbia, Bulgaria, the USA. In 2016 the duo started developing their concept Blurred Music which is dedicated to the translation of the visual concept of blurriness into sonic forms and strategies.
Xenia are Russian sound artist, drummer and singer Olga Nosova, Swedish guitarist and sound artist Sofia Härdig and British-Jewish-Pakistani bassist and sound artist Zahra Mani. They are all deeply routed in experimental music scenes, touring internationally with varying projects. All the three make extensive use of different electronic sound generators, along with their acoustic instruments. They met 2015 in Vienna at the Phonofemme Festival and decided to work together. This will now finally be their premiere.
