For many years Dafeldecker and Beins have been operating at the intersection of composition and improvisation with the group Polwechsel. Magda Mayas forms the duo Spill together with drummer Tony Buck. All three already know each other from various joint projects and not least from the Berlin Splitter Orchestra. However, their collaboration as a trio is completely new, although they do not see it as a classical piano trio. The three Berlin musicians interact here on a completely equal footing within finely balanced fields of complex rhythmic references and multiphonic resonances.

Sascha Lorenz is currently completing her master’s degree in music (piano and cello) at the University of the Arts and Sports Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2018, she obtained a degree in Artistic Pedagogical Education, also at the UdK. In addition to her work as a teacher, she has participated in various contexts as a pianist and musician, such as at MärzMusik in 2018. She has lived in Berlin since 2009, where she deejays and collects music.
