Thom Yorke loves the environment. So does Bjork. So do we. So do most good people. Which is why it’s no surprise that Bjork’s latest single, a collaboration with Radiohead front-man Thom Yorke titled ‘Nattura’ is, well, about nature. But more than that, it’s a reference to nattura.info, a “new website about Icelandic environmental hotspots” that Bjork has promoted before – most notably in a concert with Sigur Ros this summer.

According to the press release accompanying the promotional CD of the single that French Bjork fansite bjork.fr recieved, the song “highlights a grass roots movement in Iceland to relciam the country’s natural resources and wilderness from the hands of big business and pollution”, and is “more of a protest and rallying cry than a lecture”. It’s the second time Bjork has collaborated with Yorke; they also duetted on ‘I’ve Seen It All’ in 2000 for the soundtrack to the Las Von Trier film Dancer in the Dark.
‘Nattura’ will be released on October 20 on One Little Indian.
