Chor@Berlin – Vokalfest at RADIALSYSTEM V / Thursday, 22. – Sunday, 25.02.2018

From February 22nd – 25th the Deutsche Chorverband invites all to Chor@Berlin, a program packed with top notch concerts, workshops and sing-along activities. Already in its eighth edition, the Vokalfest in RADIALSYSTEM V offers a platform for new creations, innovative formats, as well as, outstanding ensembles which reflect the diversity of the choir scene. Within the framework of the workshop offers, renowned instructors work together with participants on topics such as; mediation in children’s choirs, interpretation of literature or CD production. The three-day intensive course ‘Choir Directing’ offers choir directors the opportunity to closely examine directing techniques, stylistics and rehearsal techniques current in the fields of jazz and pop.

February 24th – Chor@Berlin: Vocal Night – Pop-Up und petitfour

Two ensembles, which qualified for the Deutsche Chorwettbewerb (German Choir Competition), will shape the Saturday evening Vocal Night program. To kick it off, the four singers of petitfour will perform moving new interpretations and will toss in some unknown singer-songwriter pieces. To cap off the evening Pop-Up, the Detmold University of Music’s vocal ensemble, will showcase challenging pop and jazz arrangements.

February 25th – Chor@Berlin: Sing Dela Sing – All sing all night long

“Sing Dela Sing” does not leave singing to the church choirs, soccer fans or choral societies. After sold-out nights in Clärchens Ballhaus and Heimathafen Neukölln as well as celebrated premieres in Leipzig and Magdeburg, the successful event created by Cem A. Süzer and Gunter Papperitz comes to Chor@Berlin at RADIALSYSTEM V. Singing – more personal and united than it could be in the choir, in the stadium or under the shower: Here, everyone always sings the lead vocals.
