Next Tuesday our favourite ambient musican Christ. will perfom in our monthly Digital in Berlin Music Salon.
[audio:01. dymaxian oceanic world.mp3]Although this appearance by Christ. is his second concert in Berlin, he is no newcomer. A founding member of the legendary ambient group Boards of Canada, he paved the way for contemporary ambient music.
A John Peel session was in discussion for a while and eventually came about in December 2003 with Christ. playing alongside Schneider TM. John personally requested that Christ. do a session and his gratitude was more than evident when, after a superb live performance, he even asked for an encore, which hardly ever happened.

He appeared on the Twoism album, reissued by Warp in 2002. Horne’s departure was amicable and he thanks the duo on his Pylonesque EP issued on the Benbecula Records label in 2001. He followed this release with a full length album Metamorphic Reproduction Miracle on the same label which was very well received within the genre.
The performance group JINN, a collaboration of different artists from divers fields like dance, space & costume design, music & photography was found 2008 by the japanese dancer & choreographer TOMOKO NAKASATO in Berlin.
For 3 years JINN organised different projects which were documented & photographed by the japanese photographer STOSHI KINUGAWA.
Schneider TM is the name used for the solo electronic music projects of Dirk Dresselhaus, a former member of several German indie rock bands, most notably Hip Young Things and Locust Fudge. He released his first single under this name in 1997, but his most notable piece to date was a track named “The Light 3000” on the 2000 EP Binokular.
The Digital in Berlin Music Salon takes place @ The KissKiss Ballroom either on the third or last Tuesday of every month. The event series will feature serious forms of quality music from forward-thinking electronic/experimental musicians to folk & singer-songwriters, classical minimalist and drone composers.
