Diät is a Berlin-based band with a hardcore background who were brought together by their enthusiasm for bleak UK punk but ended up something closer to what they describe, perhaps not entirely seriously, as “tough new wave”; fans of Crisis, Killing Joke and The Mob will certainly feel at home with Diät’s unlikely synthesis of depressive drift and cranked, accelerated energy.
One of the bands currently active in the German capital’s rudely healthy DIY scene – a scene for which drummer Iffi’s Static Shock shop in Kreuzberg is an important hub – they will play live with Feature ahead of their debut LP release on Iron Lung.

Feature are a London-based punk/post-punk/unpop band that started as a two-piece comprised of Liv Willars and Jen Calleja (Sauna Youth/Monotony) in 2012 and became a trio with Heather Perkins (Slowcoaches) in 2014. They make drone-heavy and melodic songs that can best be described as “a monolith with the sun shining on it”.
They’ve released on Cazenove Tapes (London), Tye Die Tapes (Sheffield), ruined smile records (Brisbane) and Unwork Records (London) and are currently recording an album.
