Berlin’s afternoon festival for eclectic new sounds and discoveries, Down by the River, will be held on August 6th in the paradise-like garden of ://about blank.
From the early afternoon hours until dawn, expect a multitude of new and exciting Berlin-based acts: festival openers The Germans from Germany (Neukölln’s finest exponents of wonk-pop), Italo disco duo Itaca, thug-rockers Bikes, Puppetmastaz producer Blake Worrell’s new Berlin Ensemble, garage rockers Chuckamuck, loop wizard Helmut, slow-mo disco from Masha Qrella and smooth rock courtesy of Walls & Birds.

Touring acts include indie legend Scout Niblett, Czech avant garde folk act DVA, NYC folk singer Sam James (The WoWz) and British punk folkies Vaginapocalpyse. Also watch out for live magic tricks by Allie and DJ sets after the live sets from DJ Deepmoods (Fenster) and DJ Sigourney Skywalker,
starting at 22:00 and blending in with the Blank Generation night until late.
