Everything Everywhere is a new one-hour music performance by Ensemble Adapter and Ensemble Pamplemousse. The core members of both groups – Natacha Diels, Bryan Jacobs, Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir and Matthias Engler – act as a creative collective.
They approach each other as equals – as composers, performers and directors. Together they create a stage monster. The starting point of their artistic work is the realization of an all-encompassing chaos, in life as well as in art. The existential question is: how do we deal with it? The theater stage serves as an exemplary environment for a musical-performative exploration of the theme.
A detailed choreography of the four performers on stage unfolds throughout the duration of the piece. At different locations on stage, human actions trigger different sound events, which gradually merge into an overall composition. Everything Everywhere is a musical parable about human relationships.
The piece is deliberately titled as a collaboration of two ensembles, a hierarchy among the participants is rejected. Only true community work can lead to the result, our monster. The monster symbolizes a hybrid of social, ideological, artistic and political attitudes. What it has to tell us remains to be seen…
