Cult Bavarian band F.S.K. will play in the garden at ://aboutblank this month as part of the Ostkreuz based clubs birthday celebration. Besides F.S.K. there will also be concerts by Güner Künier, ZweiLaster & MPC Lafote.
f.s.k., formerly known as freiwillige selbstkontrolle, sind seit 1980 in sachen mode & verzweiflung im zickzack-kurs durch musikalische genres unterwegs und dabei jenseits kommerzieller verwertbarkeit und authentizität auf experimenteller spurensuche. ihre eps und alben versammeln ästhetisch-inhaltliche brüche, auseinandersetzungen und dekonstruktionen mit dem, was sich als “deutsche kultur” und “deutsche traditionslinien” konstituiert. f.s.k. sind michaela melián, thomas meinecke, wilfried petzi, justin hoffmann und carl oesterheld. zuletzt erschien das album „akt, eine treppe herabsteigend“ (2012) und die performance-lp „ein haufen scheiss und ein zertrümmertes klavier“ (2017)
FSK (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle, German meaning “voluntary self control”) is a German band that was formed in Munich in 1980. It became involved in the underground-part of the German New-Wave-Scene of the early 1980s. The band name is a reference to the German motion picture rating organisation Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft, which uses the same acronym. Their records were released on the legendary Zickzack-Label owned by Punk-guru Alfred Hilsberg.
