The Gamid Group is an improvised music duo from Warsaw which is shaped by drummer and percussionist Gamid Ibadullayev and tar/guitar player Wojciech Kwapisiński.
They have often cooperated with various other artists from the improvised music scene.
The music of Gamid Group is inspired by contemporary experimental music, traditions of European improvised music and ethnic Azerbaijani music in the mugam tradition.

Every performance of the group is one of a kind. The final shape of the composition, including the sound and emotions , depends very much on the environment in which the performance takes place.
Each sound in nature is different from the other ones, and this is reflected in Gamid Group’s music. The control is the reaction which creates the unity. At Madame Claude, Gamid Group will perform their showcase with manipulated and self-made instruments.

The Gamid Group is supported by the ERICH ZANN TRIO, formerly called GHETTO RAGA, which is navigated by Thereminist Thomas Zunk and emerged from the ERICH ZANN QUINTETT. They are responsible for some of Berlin’s finest avant-garde improvisation music.
