Gary Lucas’ solo performance “From Beefheart to Buckley and Beyond” covers his emergence in the early 80’s as a force to be reckoned with as the acclaimed solo guitarist on Captain Beefheart’s final albums, “Doc at the Radar Station” and “Ice Cream for Crow”.
Then continues to the time of co-writing and performing “Grace” and “Mojo Pin” on the late Jeff Buckley’s two-million selling “Grace” album and to his more then 25 celebrated solo albums in his own right in many different genres, including avant-rock, folk, blues, world, classical, jazz, and electronic dance.

In his current program, Gary Lucas savors his friends and musical companions by performing party coomon songs, partly his own ones and telling fascinating stories from the joint time.
A highlight are the presented rare historic video clips that show him working together with Buckley and Beefheart.
