As a three- part event series, GLITCHES presents readings, talks, and music investigating disruptions, interferences, and similar phenomena in (pop) culture’s digital transformation – from deepfakes and hyper- irony to AI music, social media literature, and live algorithm programming.
Glitches are flaws in a system, interruptions in the virtual world which makes us doubt experienced reality: What is real, what is simulated? As part of post- digital pop culture, the glitch aesthetic is now consciously employed as a stylistic device. Is this made by humans or IS IT A GLITCH?!
