Grand Jeté is a series of electronic music events at OHM club, located in the industrial complex of Kraftwerk Berlin (in the immediate vicinity of TRESOR club).
On four Thursdays from September to December 2014, Grand Jeté presents an electronic live act sharing the stage with several DJs. The participating artists come from different musical backgrounds, however all Grand Jeté events will have one thing in common: the exploration of rhythm and sound.
A thrilling listening and dance event guaranteed.
The third event features Pole and Kim Brown, warmed up by a DJ set of host Hanno Leichtmann himself aka the VSQ.

Pole a.k.a. Stefan Betke was born in Düsseldorf, where he played keyboards and synthesizer in different band projects. It was in Cologne that Betke began work on his acclaimed and influential Trilogy (“1”, “2” & “3”), defining a new genre: Urban Dub. He released the trilogy as pole between 1998 and 2000. During this time, he also became a mastering engineer for vinyl and cd at Dubplates&Mastering.
In 1999, Stefan Betke and Barbara Preisinger started their label scape, which became an imprint for unique and outstanding electronic music made by artists such as Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Kit Clayton, pole and many more. The same year Stefan Betke left Dubplates&Mastering to open up his own studio for cd and vinyl pre-mastering called scape mastering. His recent releases reconnect his latest sound visions with his earlier work on the edge between electronic club music, urban dub and avant-garde.

Already with their very first releases, Kim Browns productions on the imprint Just Another Beat were highly critically acclaimed. In the meantime, they remixed tracks for labels such as Freerange, Rivulet and Fauxpas Musik and made two edits for Rimini run by Oskar Offermann.
Finally in 2013, they released their debut album Somewhere Else Is Going To Be Good which became an instant underground hit. Groove Magazine reviewed it as one of the best house albums made in the last decade. Kim Brown always play back to back. Two complementary individuals who always know how to turn a dancefloor into a soulful, deep and harmonic space.
The VSQ (i´m so blasé) is the dj moniker of Hanno Leichtmanns house alter ego The Vulva String Quartett. his sets are open minded, beyond musical styles but always somewhere between house, techno, acid and electro.
Grand Jeté is a project by Hanno Leichtmann, supported by Musicboard Berlin.
