Alien Transistor mainstays Andi Haberl and Flow Zimmer return to Donau115 in Neukölln this January for another duo performance of live drums and electronics.
The two musicians are known through their activities in various bands and projects: Haberl is a drummer with The Notwist, among others, and Zimmer is active with Driftmachine and Saroos. Together they explore the interplay of drums /sensory percussion (Haberl) and modular synthesizer (Zimmer).
Andi Haberl is a german drummer and composer, based in Berlin. Solo performances in “Museum für angewandte Kunst”/ Frankfurt a. M., Donau115 and Radialsystem/ Berlin. Sideman performances or recordings with The Notwist, Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra, Bobby Hutcherson, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lisa Hannigan, My Brightest Diamond, Marla Hansen, Till Brönner, Johannes Enders, Nils Wogram, Gunter Hampel, Kaj Duncan David, Kenny Wheeler, Shake Stew, Dave Douglas, Pablo Held, Wanja Slavin, Oli Lutz, Jonas Westergaard, Bernhard Meyer, Passport, Arlo Guthrie, Liun and the science fiction band, Lali Puna, Tied and tickled trio, Sam Amidon, Owen Pallett, s t a r g a z e, Daniel Glatzel, Michael Wollny, Ronny Graupe and many others.
