The music performance “In Circulation”—created under the direction of Noah Slee—will premiere at DAS MINSK. Seven singers perform in an effortless alternation between jazz, neo-soul, experimental electronic, and dance.
In Circulation explores the circular patterns present in life and its various endeavors. We’re pleased to announce that movement artist Andrea Bou Othmane and poet/MC/visual artist Selassie will also join this showcase as special guests. “In Circulation” is a production and creative direction of Expressions World. Noah Slee and Dhanesh Jayaselan, collaborating as Expressions World, are known for their work with the award-winning BIPOC music collective “A Song For You.”
“A Song For You” is a groundbreaking vocal ensemble that brings together over 50 artists from around the world, led by the visionary collaboration of Noah Slee and Dhanesh Jayaselan. The collective defies categorization, moving in a sonic realm between Neo Soul, R&B, and Gospel. “A Song For You” celebrates the rich diversity of Berlin’s music scene while providing a critical platform for underrepresented voices. Over the past two years, the ensemble has garnered attention from the Berlin artist community, especially with their debut concert in 2022 at the Volksbühne with 800 seats, which sold out immediately despite the band being known only through word of mouth.
Berlin-based, New Zealand artist Noah Slee combines traditional soul influences whilst experimenting with electronic production, blending an array of genres ranging from future beats, contemporary soul, progressive RnB to indie- electronica. Slee is a multifaceted identity: as a musician, artist, producer, director, Pacific Islander, and an LGBTQ+ member.
