Jenny Hval has in recent years made a name for herself as a writer, journalist, recording artist and sound artist both in Norway and abroad.
Multidisciplinary and transgressive are words often employed to describe her art, but Jenny Hval’s polyphonic artistry is in fact seamlessly interwoven between musical, literary, visual and performative modes of expression.
Despite her young age, she has already infused, carved and modulated an artistic voice that is altogether present, accessible and obscurely complex at the same time.

“Viscera forms part of a prolific artist’s growing body of work, and manages a rare thing: to be a stunning achievement both conceptionally and musically.” – The Wire
“Viscera grabs you, often violently. It pokes and prods throughout, but also gives moments of relief through release, then confusion, conflict and resolution. Jenny Hval has produced an album which is profoundly unsettling but it is one which is, more than anything, simply profound.” – Drowned In Sound

“Prehistoric Ghost Party” is the title of the debut solo album of the young and brilliant multi-instrumentalist and video artist Theresa Stroetges aka golden diskó ship. After Hans-Joachim Irmler of Krautrock legends Faust acknowledged her talent, the album was produced at the legendary Faust studio, home of Irmler’s Klangbad label.
As a one girl orchestra, Theresa creates her live shows with various instruments and a mix of electronic and analogue sonic layers. She is renowned for her imaginative songscapes, crunchy distortion and squealing sounds whose dark and noisy elements suggest eccentric drum machine abuse.

In combination with her self-made video projections, her unique version of sonic anarchy transports you into a world of intense chaos where fun and beauty meet.
A subtle combination of dark and soft atmospheres sends you into fantastic dimensions, perhaps even right back to prehistorical times!
