José González + The String Theory at Admiralspalast / Tuesday, 17.01.2017

This January, Swedish singer-songwriter José González performs with insurmountable Göteborg orchestra ‘The String Theory’ at Admiralspalast. Their first collective tour was back in 2011, receiving outstanding critical acclaim and selling out all over the continent.

José González released his third solo album Vestiges & Claws in February 2015, following In Our Nature (2007) and his debut album Veneer (2003), which has sold over a million copies to date.

In addition to recording two albums with the band Junip, and touring the world both with them and as a solo artist, González was involved in the soundtrack for the 2013 feature film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and the Arthur Russell charity compilation album for HIV/AIDS awareness organisation Red Hot.

The String Theory sees some of Berlin and Gothenburg’s most exciting contemporary musicians join forces. The group has forged relationships and recorded material with artists like El Perro Del Mar, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, and Pacific!. They’ve collaborated with the art studio collective Chez Chérie, the associated band Warren Suicide, and the production company Transporterraum to create music multimedia art projects.
