Argentinian artist Juana Aguirre returns to Berlin with a special performance as part of Noche de Cantautoras, a concert series celebrating Latin American women songwriters curate by Entre Trópicos. Known for blending Río de la Plata folk traditions with experimental and indie sounds, Juana will present an intimate set in duo format alongside multi-instrumentalist CRUZ, showcasing songs from her latest album.
Juana first emerged as the founder and lead voice of Churupaca, a cult band that fused cumbia, folklore, and jazz, earning her recognition across Latin America. Her solo debut “Claroscuro” (2021) was born after a nomadic journey through Bolivia and New Zealand, and a creative retreat in Patagonia. This album marked the beginning of a deeply personal sonic language—bridging analog synths, ambient textures, and lyrical introspection—featuring collaborations with Santiago Motorizado and Lola Pardo.
Over the past three years, Juana has performed at major festivals and venues such as Primavera Sound Argentina, Sala Apolo (Barcelona), Druga Godba (Slovenia), Circulart (Colombia), and CC Konex (Buenos Aires), among others. Her Berlin solo debut in 2023 was a sold-out show, and her return promises an even more refined exploration of her artistic vision.
Her new single Tormenta introduces the sound of “anónimo” (2025), her second album released on April 3rd. This new work expands her sonic universe while remaining grounded in the poetic force that defines her songwriting.
In a recent interview, Juana shared: “After performing, I always return to the studio energized,” highlighting the symbiotic relationship between her live performances and creative process. With a growing international following and performances alongside artists like BadBadNotGood and Alice Phoebe Lou.
