Kiezsalon w/ Bendik Giske (replacing Gigi Masin) & Floating Spectrum / Wednesday, 21.10.2020

We cordially invite you to our October Kiezsalon. The new rescheduled event will feature shows from Norwegian Saxophonist Bendik Giske, and Taiwanese audio technologist Floating Spectrum. Bendik Giske replaces Gigi Masin, who unfortunately had to withdraw from the programme.

Following the release of his debut album ‘Surrender’, on Smalltown Supersound, Bendik Giske has emerged as an evocative artist and saxophonist inspired as much by electronic as by jazz. His music takes us on a journey, relatable to anyone who’s ever had a moment in a crowded room, amidst the chaos of the world surrounding them.

Floating Spectrum‘s music shimmers with elemental richness, as synths, meditative drones, and heavily processed samples evolve across layered environmental soundscapes.

Mei-Fang Liau is the Taiwan-born, Berlin-based musician and audio technologist behind Floating Spectrum. Using self-made tools such as Polyphylla, her fractal-based synthesizer inspired by patterns in nature, she is able to craft a wide range of intricate, organic computer-based sounds with subtlety and depth.

As part of our safety first policy, tickets are ONLY available online. There is no box office or guest list. So be sure to book your pre-sale Tickets in advance.

Please be aware that for the reopening of Kiezsalon, the safety of our guests is the top priority. The format of the event and venue arrangements have been adapted to maximize safety, and we have created a strict Kiezsalon hygiene and safety policy for the event.
