Walking past the garden of hesperides is an invitation to walk and listen to sounds and stories in relation to Körnerpark and beyond. christina ertl-shirly and gretchen blegen compose an audio walk looking into the histories of the Orangerie and Glass Houses, past their located narratives in european colonial history and back out at the garden and its peripheries.
As a continuation of the 2018 sound installation The Garden of Hesperides, the two artists revisit a theme that is very much about containing the outside inside and try to reverse the gaze, asking us to listen attentively to the inside outside – this time in passing and well beyond any possible desired containment.
