Gregg Kowalsky & Jon Porras w/ Aidan Baker at Zukunft am Ostkreuz / Wednesday, 28.02.2018

American experimental/ambient musicians Gregg Kowalsky (also of Date Palms) & Jon Porras (also of Barn Owl) bring their minimum, atmospheric drones to Berlin as part of their EU tour in support of new releases, “L’Orange, L’Orange” (Mexican Summer), and “Tokonoma” (Geographic North). They will be joined by experimental/ambient guitarist Aidan Baker (also of Nadja), who recently released the album “Invisible Cities” on Berlin’s Karlrecords.

Aidan Baker is a Canadian musician and writer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Classically trained in flute, he is self-taught on guitar, drums, and various other instruments.
As a solo artist, Baker explores the deconstructive sonic possibilities of the electric guitar as a primary sound source, creating music that ranges from experimental to post-rock to contemporary classical.
