Nite Jewel, for everyone who doesnt know yet, is a … lets call it “stoner disco loop” group from LA lead by Ramona Gonzalez.

Not so low-fi anymore it seems though, after some self released record, a 12″ on Italians Do It Better, Ramona has just signed to Secretly Canadian, released another new 12” on Mexican Summer, which was including a colaboration with Samps (whose members are part of Nite Jewel …. did we mention that already? jeez its late), and there’s Dam Funk (whom they have a colaboration called Nite Funk and will have an album out on Stones Throw Records) … and yes she also remixed CARIBOU and HEALTH, anything else?

Its confusing, lets not be confused though, there’s a stellar quality to her music that keeps her afloat a sea of shitty synth crap bands, word!
