In 3 experiments JUTOJO (Julie Gayard, Toby Cornish & Johannes Braun) will observe the visual qualities of chemical reactions, filmed live and projected onto the screen.
What interests them is not the scientific aspect or the outcome of chemical experiments but a fascination in the complex and unpredictable transitional phase of the reactions.
Through the 100x magnification the resulting images immerse the audience into another dimensional scale which freely evokes a quantity of associations and reminiscences of spaces, emotions and organisms.

As the sense for scale and matter gets lost, the reactions leave the audience room for a variety of free associations – be they emotional, spacial, vegetative, climatic, cosmic or something else.
Etkin Cekin, guitar player and singer of turkish kraut-shoegaze-pop act Farfara, accompanies the proceedings with guitar, electronics and voice, and builds up soundscapes out of drones.
