Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Pantha du Prince had to cancel his six concerts in November at the Volksbühne Berlin, but he is set to do a digital show for his fans.
In his project “Conference Of Trees”, Hendrik Weber, aka Pantha du Prince, deals with the communication between trees. He has transferred the cell-biological “conversation” into an artistic work. That subject, which has been considered in numerous stories across cultures for thousands of years, is now receiving increased recognition in the scientific community: Trees can exchange information with each other over long distances as well. Weber has transferred this cell-biological “conversation” into an artistic work. In this he lives up to his reputation as an outstanding producer, earned with his ability to bring avantgarde music together with electronic club sounds through his unmistakable flair for harmonies.
According to current Corona resolutions in Germany, the theaters, and thus also the Volksbühne Berlin, must close till November 30. Unfortunately, this also means that Pantha du Prince had to cancel his six concerts in November, too. Since it was not an option for the artists and Volksbühne to postpone the already postponed concerts once again, Pantha du Prince is taking the show online to share some musical joy during these trying times. The concert was elaborately shot on the main stage of the Volksbühne, with a large stage setup and an atmospheric lighting – a celebration of music to stream from the comfort of your home.
Volksbühne Berlin is taking the show online: concert stream starts Nov. 12, 8 p.m. CET, available for 48 hrs, tickets on sale now! Ticket holders* will receive their personal access code for the digital concert by e-mail.
