Following the release of the fantastic album Coast 2 Coast and a great remix album on Stones Throw records Juliette Pearl Davis und Joachim Polack aka Pearl & The Oysters come to Berlin for a live show at Schokoladen in Mitte next month.
After winning a free trip to the Ostreoid Asteroid Resort (from whence came their name) on the back of a dehydrated cereal box, a joyous society of galactic gleaners began making music together under the Neptunian moniker: Pearl & The Oysters.
Coast 2 Coast is a magical field trip through Pearl & The Oysters’ universe: think colourful cocktails, ocean waves, and retro synthesizers played with a Powerglove! The French-American duo’s first album for Stones Throw documents their move from Florida to L.A., and features collaborators they met along the way including Lætitia Sadier (Stereolab), Riley Geare (Unknown Mortal Orchestra), Alan Palomo (Neon Indian), Dent May, and Alex Brettin (Mild High Club).
