Care Of Editions presents Nicola Ratti and Mads Emil Nielsen as part of its electroacoustic concert series in Berlin.
Care Of Editions is a label that explores new approaches to music distribution. Under our first model, Negative Money, we use the profits from selling vinyl records to pay people for downloading the same albums. The amount one receives, in dollars, is equal to the download edition number.
Nicola Ratti is a multi-faceted sound designer, musician, architect and curator. He has been active internationally for several years, composing and performing experimental and minimalist compositions both as a solo artist and collaboratively. Recent collaborations include Bellows with Giuseppe Ielasi and Tilde with Enrico Malatesta and Attila Faravelli. He has released on a range of labels including Entr’acte, Preservation and Boomkat Editions.
Mads Emil Nielsen is a composer and electronic musician currently based in Copenhagen. He works with basic sound sources such as sine waves and noise, often combining them with short percussive and orchestral samples and amplifying machine produced errors. He recently founded arbitrary, the label and artistic platform on which he released FRAMEWORK (graphic scores + audio), and has had tracks featured on The Wire Tapper 37 and 39 (The Wire magazine, 2015).
