RUIN is the Berlin based music collective around singer Richard Ruin / aka Martin Eder, who is an important painter of the contemporary german art scene.
For the dark, scenic music performance, classic elements of New Music with a sleepy essence of Doom Metal and Chanson Noir interweave with broken meters and deep droning sounds.
Produced from minimal bass guitars, distanced pianos and reverb electronics, this music functions as the atmospheric mirror of the previous creations of RUIN and the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop.

RUIN sound like a filmic, morbid likeness of an intense music between Comacore, leaden Metal and ambient Electronic.
Eder is invested in the despair, self-abandonment and sound of black metal. Musicians like Attila Csihar of Mayhem, Sunn O))) and Jochen Arbeit of Einstürzende Neubauten have contributed to ruin’s deconstructed pieces.
