A decade has already passed since the Akademie der Künste’s Studio for Electroacoustic Music of the moved into the building on Hanseatenweg.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the studio presents works that were created at Hanseatenweg and whose composers are still closely associated with the studio today, and looks back on the last ten years in a round of talks. In addition to that, some of the rare historic synthesizers of the studio are exhibited at the Foyer. With electronic works by Chiyoko Szlavnics, Kirsten Reesen, Andrei Cucu, Genoël von Lilienstern and Malte Giesen.
Kirsten Reese and Chiyoko Szlavnics, both Academy members, explore distinct electroacoustic composition styles. Andrei Cucu’s premiere centers on spoken word and poetry, while Giesen and Lilienstern delve into digitally synthesized noise. In discussions, these composers explore various electroacoustic music approaches and their implications for electronic studios today and in the future.
