In its short existence, Portuguese festival, Semibreve, has built a formidable reputation for being one of the most exciting annual events on the international exploratory music and digital arts calendar.

Braga is the oldest archdiocese and Portugal’s third major city. It is also one of the oldest Christian cities in the World. The city’s history reflects on the considerable number of churches and religious monuments, namely the Sé Catedral, the city’s Cathedral, and Bom Jesus do Monte. In the past years Braga has become an important academic and research center due to the structures like Minho University and the Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory.

Theatro Circo, the city theatre, will held Semibreve. Designed by the architect Moura Coutinho, it was inaugurated on April 21 1915. After a restoration period, it reopened in 2006. The theater main room has 899 seats. The perfect fusion of a carefully curated live programme in Braga’s most renowned and oldest theatre, the stunning Theatro Circo and the personal atmosphere makes the Semibreve Festival to an insiders’ tip.
