SEVEN ELEVEN DIVA HEAVEN at Raumerweiterungshalle is a weekly event every Thursday from 19-23h, celebrating past and future divas – and the diva in each of us.
This week, Diva Heaven presents: Skiing, + Tanja Pippi and Fetal Twink.
Skiing is a Berlin-based indie pop band with a strong C86-inspired sound, collectively influenced by 1950s rock’n’roll, queercore, punk, and so on. Consisting of Everett Darling as the sole original band member, Skiing has a rotating and dramatic cast of friends, lovers, family, ex-friends, ex-lovers, future-lovers, etc…
Their songs feature guitars, drum beats, bass, and lyrics with one or more-part harmonies. Lyrics discuss sanity, books and poetry, celestial bodies, philosophy, gay identity, immigration, political ideologies, weekend sports, death, objects, love, and most recently sex.

Formed as a response to what lead singer and guitarist Everett Darling perceived as a lack of interesting, local music, he and former member Dianna Mertz set out to make the kind of music they both felt was missing from a city known for its art. The dissatisfaction with the scene then produced five songs, the result of which was a show scheduled at West Germany. Although the initial thought was that it might just be a one-off show, the three discovered they fit well together and decided to continue as a trio of drums, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar.
Tanja Pippi, singer and instrumentalist of the Berlin-based band Jolly Goods, will perform some new and old Jolly Goods songs with Fetal Twink (The History Of Colour TV / I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream) with guitars, keys, and organs.

The Raumerweiterungshalle (spatial-extension-container) of the non-profit association Selbstuniversität e.V., is a self-organized space for non-commercial projects and events, such as film evenings, performances, readings, concerts, seminars, discussions, exhibitions, and workshops, mostly with a queer-feminist focus.
