As part of their tour five members of the SROSH ENSEMBLE from Porto, Portugal will be taking part in a short residency in Ausland. On the night of the 20th they will present their works in many different collaborations and as an ensemble together. Joining us will be: Gustavo Costa, Henrique Fernandes, Alberto Lopes, Rodrigo Cardoso and João Ricardo.
Srosh Ensemble is a project created within the Educational Service of Casa da Música, aiming at establishing a musical community around experimental music and sound art. Srosh focuses on the development of sound sculptures, non conventional instruments, and site specific sound interventions on the areas of sound art, field recordings, acoustics, electronic manipulation, soundscape and indeterminism.

Sabine Ercklentz and Tisha Mukarji will take some notes standing, attaching, removing, replacing, dispensing, and then will tune them, play them, take them for fools, take them for a ride, blow them up, blow them away. With a piano, a trumpet, a few objects here and there, a speaker, a pedal or four and some cables.

Sabine Ercklentz turned to the trumpet at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns-Eisler, Berlin. She lives and works in Berlin as a composer, musician and performer. Her works often stretch the borders of music and challenge the definition of genres.
She frequently collaborates with other artists. She has performed in numereous concerts and festivals.

Tisha Mukarji is a pianist, composer, and artist who holds an MFA from the Master’s Program in Fine Arts at Malmö Art Academy, Malmö. She has performed and recorded her work extensively in Europe.
She is the author of Auscultation (2010) and released the CDs Outwash (2012), Endspace, (2008), and D is for Din (2006).
