Don’t DJ is interested in what he calls “musique acéphale” – a metric which has no distinct starting point and thus encourages the listener to constantly switch his metric focus to discover different “points of listen” within the same arrangement.
Don’t DJ seeks to inspire consciousness to wander beyond culturally suggested boundaries of the perception of reality.

Vladimir Ivkovic is resident of the seminal Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf. Since playing a pivotal role in Belgrade’s first “house” parties in the earliest 90s and soundtracking surreal gatherings at the sea, Vladimir’s knowledge has expanded at an alarming rate, documented by cult recordings that are frustratingly hard to find.
The Hum is metaphoric. Vibrating, ongoing, resonance. For The Hum a live performance is not disconnected from the participating bodies in space. So a DJ set is bound to the sound experiencing, moving bodies on the dancefloor of a music club.
The Hum as an artistic research investigates dimensions of a shared sound and dance experience through electronic music, movement and beyond. The audience is a crucial part of an artistic happening and yet The Hum doesn’t share the idea of a crowd that needs to be pleased.
The opposite of historically functionalised settings are celecrated and more experiments on the floor – experiments by all its actors – are considered.
The Hosts of The Hum are Vinilette and Ultraviolett, who will play their most humming records before and after the guests.
