Tranceversal Voices is a new experimental music event series founded by the Berlin based musicians and composers Marijn Degenaar and Abigail Toll. Tranceversal Voices brings together emerging and established musicians, interdisciplinary sound artists and DJs from deep listening, drone, ambient and hypnotic club music.
The quarterly events create a space for artists and audiences to world-build through the transformative power of these genres, with a focus on artistic voices that challenge our perceptions of reality and question systemic power dynamics.
Circular Ruins is the project of Netherlands-born, Berlin-based musician and visual artist Marijn Degenaar. Circular Ruins weaves together arcane, oneiric, wistful and wishful ambient soundscapes by way of analog synthesis. An astral free-float through imagined eras and landscapes, as well as a hazy reflection on the cracked mirrors of the now.
Abigail Toll (UK/DE) is an experimental music artist based in Berlin. Her psychoacoustic soundworlds combine ambient, electroacoustic techniques which unfold as meditation and upheaval. Her artistic research focuses on data aesthetics and harmonic chaos as a mode for critical thinking, which is often in collaboration with musicians, artists and writers.
