Verlag Vault is a concert and performance series happening at Roter Salon in Volksbühne, prompted by Berlin based label Verlag – a platform for music curation and artistic projects with a focus on sound, literature and fashion.
With a catalog encompassing about 40 releases that includes music and design items, Verlag represents artists whose practice is multidisciplinary, with a foundation in music.
Simone Antonioni is a Berlin-based artist who releases electronic music, produces sound design and design items. Simone engages in multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of electronic music, fashion, and performance. Notably, the artist contributed to sound design for fashion houses and media such as Miu Miu, Moncler and VOGUE CS. For the show in Roter Salon, Simone will play music from upcoming releases inspired by New Wave, Synthwave, Witch house and Deconstructed club music, blended with his previous discography. He co-founded Verlag, together with Johanna Nothroff.
Franka Marlene Foth, is a Berlin-born, multi-hyphenate creative. As a choreographer, and director her work centers on the intricate artistry of dance and performance, shifting perceptions of movement into poetic narratives. Her aesthetic combines a precise sense for the visual, expressive art practice and a distinctive stance thriving on dramatic extremes. Characterized by a cinematic approach her projects are known for their high auditory and visual impact drawing on the concentrated energy and power that emanates from movement. Her performances always emphasize the performing body, the athleticism of the dancer and the vital role of music and sound. Her performance at Roter Salon will be with sound by Malibu.
Bungalovv is the electronic music project of Pablo Betas, a Buenos Aires-born artist based in Berlin. His sound blends Latin American rhythms, wild percussions, sharp trance synths, and complex club beats. Creating an experimental, nocturnal atmosphere where nocturnal, robotic and mechanical faunas coexist. He’s a core member of the labels Genome 6.66Mbp (Shanghai) and Infinite Machine (Mexico). He recently completed a 20+ gig Asian tour across China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia and Japan as a live performer and DJ.
