Augustin Maurs, graduated from the Paris Conservatoire (CNR) and from the conservatory of Music “Hanns Eisler”, Berlin.
Concerts as a cellist in Europe, USA and Japan, performances in interdisciplinary contexts / cooperation with Mauricio Kagel, George Aphergis, Helmut Lachenmann, Adolf Muschg, Ami Garmon, Jenny Walshe, Fabien Lévy, Michael Wilhelmi.
Commissions & collaborations with a.o. the” Deutsche Guggenheim”, the “Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (RBB), “the Center for Opinions in Music and Art”, Berlin, the “Music Academy of Rheinsberg”, the “Sound Museum – VIEWPOINT PRODUCTIONS BV, Amsterdam.
Award from the “summer academy for contemporary music in Darmstadt”, selected for the “Forum of the Ensemble Modern 2004”, winner of the “Eisler Price for Interpretation”, artist in residence at the “International Art Research Location Schloss Bröllin”, development of the project “winter journey” with German and French young people, Board member of the
“Friends and Supporters of the Berlin conservatory Hanns Eisler”.
